'twas just another night

shots by my friend Pauee Cadaing with her SLR.
where? her living room.
lighting used? a table lamp. :)
why? we just got bored.

she's one of the most talented young photographers i know...and one of the reasons is that she knows how to make me look good in pictures without make-up on and without fixing my hair. haha! for the ones here, she just adjusted the lighting using Adobe Lightroom, no Photoshop done! i will upload more shortly.
For more of her pictures, check out her Multiply site: http://www.pauee1617.multiply.com/

Hair Done!

Cut and colored! (sorry, color's not obvious in the picture) I love it!

I never cut my hair this short and this blunt. Last time was hmmm, grade school I think.

First time to color it too. Red-ish. Virgin hair, no more.

Going Blunt and Short =  My hair is quite curly. A blunt and short cut will make my hair go *poof*. This will make me look like a troll on a daily basis (Instead of just when I wake up from going to a kick-ass party the night before)

Going Straight = I have really thin hair. If I had my hair treated to be straight, it will be so close to my scalp it would look like I'm balding. In the picture it only looks straight 'cause it was blow dried. Wish me luck in the morning after I wash it. Since I did not have any treatment in the salon to make it straight, I would have to try my best fixing it and take note of volume.

SOLUTION: Blow drier, hair iron and a lot of muscle every morning! :z

Am I satisfied? Yes... for now. There's more elbow grease needed to make myself look human, but who cares! I wanted a new look, and there I have it.

However, I still need to see how my locks will behave after getting wet... I might multiply and invade Manila. Gremlin? Hahaha!

NEXT: I want to go bolder, so I might go red-DER. :) I really want to go for the Haley (Paramore) look. Rock on sisters \m/

Just do it. - Nike

Here's my very own "draft" bucket list (in no particular order). Why draft? Because I know I can still add more stuff to it. Some are quite hard to achieve, but hey, nothing's impossible :)

1. Sky Diving

2. Hug Britney Spears and tell her "Everything's gonna be okay."

3. Bunjee Jumping

4. White Water Rafting <-DONE!

5. Study dance.

6. Dance for/WITH Justin Timberlake in one of his concerts. :)

7. Get rich... as in filthy rich.

8. Drive my own Hummer.

9. Go to all the best beaches on this planet.

10. Buy a house near the beach and grow old there.

11. Experience a genuine "slow dance".

12. Learn how to cook.

13. Drive a speedboat.

14. Do wakeboarding.

15. Buy my Dad a Rolex watch.

16. Build my Mom a house with a big ass kitchen, with everything in it.

17. Learn how play the guitar or any instrument... and master it.

18. Learn how to fire a gun and own one.

19. Go camping!

20. Have my own business and quit my job.

21. Get married and have at least 1 kid (a boy) before I'm 30.

22. Make out with Cristiano Ronaldo for at least 10 minutes... or maybe an hour... or two... or for an entire day! hahahaha!

23. Laugh so hard I start weeping. Not just cry or get teary eyed,,, but WEEP.

24. Get super drunk I would lose all inhibitions and lose consciousness. Then forget all the embarassing stuff I did that night.

25. Cut my hair uber short and color it bright red, like Haley of Paramore <-I'm planning on getting this done SOON.

26. Get a tattoo. <-I just can't think of a design and where to put it.

27. Dance in the middle of the rain.

28. Make out with Justin Timberlake for at least 10 minutes... or maybe an hour... or two... or for an entire day! hahahaha! (just the same as #22!)

29. Have Robert Pattinson carry me on his back, then we do the "spidermonkey" scene from Twilight... or we just do the entire movie... then all the movies (New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn).

30. Try being a Toll Girl for a day and have a 1 minute chat with all the drivers that pass by my booth.

Any suggestions?

"Toe Touching" Our Way Around the Country

The National Cheerleading Championship (NCC) coaches went to Cagayan de Oro (CDO) for the 5th Season's Mindanao Qualifiers. My first time waaaaaay down south of the Philippines. :)

FYI: What do we do, exactly?

Go to the
NCC Website for more info.

This trip is only one of the 5 we had for this season's regionals. The others were held in:

1. Central Luzon

2. South Luzon
3. North Luzon
4. Visayas

In every region, we would hold a camp then a competition for all interested squads in that particular area of the Nation. NCC coaches fly or would get on a 7 hour bus ride just to get to these regions to give both high school and college cheerleaders a chance to show off their skills. We are the one and only cheerleading organization in the Philippines that gives a venue for these teams to compete. The top 3 from each region, from high school and college, will then have a chance to be named the National Champion during the finals. Bragging rights? Yes, NCC can definitely give you that. :)

Where the fudge is Cagayan de Oro anyway?

It's only an hour and a half flight away from Manila!

CDO wooot!

The Camp

Every regional, the NCC holds a camp before the qualifiers. This gives us, the coaches, the chance to share our passion and help the different teams clean up their routines. We also give them tips on how to hit stunts easier. I really enjoy this part of each regional as we get to really know not only an entire team, but to be more connected to each of the students. We get to do what we love, we teach and we also learn.

White Water Rafting Time!

Cagayan de Oro is well-known for river rafting. Right after the camp, we exchanged our NCC shirts for bathing suits and board shorts to try it out. I think, in some way, we were able to use our cheerleading expertise in this extreme sport... emphasis on the "I think".

This is one of the perks. Whenever we go to the different regions, we get to experience what the place has to offer... FOR FREE! Hahaha! :)

River rafting is so much fun! I will definitely go back to CDO and do it again!

The Competition

I have been judging for the NCC for almost 3 years already. Seeing different teams from the different provinces of the country is definitely a blessing. So many good teams are left undiscovered and we, the NCC are here to give them the opportunity to show their skills, on a national level!

Here are some photos from the competition in CDO:

Mic and Celine, my co-coaches/judges.
And that's me at the background being so serious about the judging sheets...

Time to unwind...

After 2 fun but TIRING days, it's time to set aside our rubber shoes and Mueller tape. :)

Below are photos from Lim Ket Kai, CDO's party place. What a great way to spend our last night in CDO!

Who wants to go back with me? :)
